1 Samuel 17:31 Saul hears about David and sends for him
1 Samuel 17:32 David tells Saul he will fight the champion
1 Samuel 17:33 Saul tells David he is not qualified
1 Samuel 17:34 – 37 David gives Saul two examples how God delivered him
1 Samuel 17:38 & 39 David puts on Saul’s armor, it does not fit so David removes it
1 Samuel 17:40 David takes his stick. 5 smooth stones and his sling
1 Samuel 17:41 – 44 The Philistine champion, who has a shield bearer in front of him, has distain for David and tells him he is going to feed his body to the birds and the beasts
1 Samuel 17:45 – 47 David responds that not only will the champions body, but the Philistines as well will be fed to the birds and the beasts and the reason is that all, even Israel will know there is a God and He delivers
